Weigh in on regional transportation through 2050
Transport · Whatcom CountyWhat happened: WCOG's survey for its long-range transportation plan is open at wcog.org/rtp2050. Separately, its Transportation Policy Board holds a public hearing Oct. 14 on the 2027 project list, the short-term program that schedules money for specific projects.
Why it matters: Federal rules require every project on the short-term list to be consistent with the long-range plan. So the 2050 plan sets which road, transit and trail projects can compete for federal transportation money, and the project list decides which get it first.
